The first generation of today's community (began,started] settling when they brought their families and started to harvest and cultivate the on offer. In the beginning of 1980's brought to Koh Toa some of the very first travellers from Full Moon party on Ko Phangan. Here they located something more than just a new islandto explore and soon the back packer network was energetic about the superb newly found islandparadise. Mesmerised by the stunning pure white beaches, the back of beyond aura, and of course the low-cost living, back-packers soon arrived in droves. Arrivals and departures were on the local coconut boats, and even then hold-ups of several days were regular. Back to the hammock and a world of dreams; The boat comes another day . Subsequently, as its reputation for attractive nature, extraordinary marine life and staggering landscapes grew, simple access was made available when enhanced and safer boats were brought in to cope with the number of visitors, being attracted to the island. Occasionally progress can be a wonderful thing, fortunately KoTao has maintained its relaxed atmosphere, ]it is,it's] still nigh on impossible to find a crowded beach.
